The album Hellfire picks up after Cavalcade and builds on the melodic and harmonic elements, while expanding their sound further with some of the brutality and intensity that also characterized their debut, Schlagenheim.

black midi is a band that has refined their abilities at a lightning speed and fully realised their massive talents. 5 years into their career, they still showcase a youthful spirit and cocky attitude, but under full control at this point. While the almost cartoonish richness of ideas and energy may seem staggering, Hellfire is an extremely cohesive work of art – the band’s thematically most complete album – where each note exists with full intent.
