The Vinyl Store sets flat rate shipping costs for the best rates, fairness and transparency for all our customers. We are an online store so warehouse pickup is not available. We use Australia Post.
We make all reasonable efforts to package as per industry standards to ship safely to you such that the item(s) arrive as good as we picked them off the shelf. We obviously want them to work for you and us.
With regard to typical random defects, quality issues and so forth, we please encourage you or recipient to contact us to sort out a resolution as soon as possible.
AUSTRALIA
Standard Shipping: All standard orders will be processed and dispatched from our warehouse within 3 business days. Standard Australia Post parcel delivery times will then apply once your parcel leaves the warehouse.
Cost of postage is $12.95 for delivery within Australia per order, no matter how many items you buy!
To estimate delivery time visit the Australia Post delivery estimate website and enter the postcode 2147 in the ‘From’ field and your own postcode in the ‘To’ field. Remember to also consider the processing time for dispatching your order when working out when to expect your parcel.
OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA
Standard Shipping: All standard orders will be processed and dispatched from our warehouse within 3 business days. Standard Australia Post and connecting overseas country post service parcel delivery times will then apply once your parcel leaves the warehouse.
Cost of postage is $30 for delivery outside Australia per order, no matter how many items you buy!
The full value of your order is listed on the customs declaration. We don’t have any control over customs, duty, or sales tax charges that may apply when your order enters your country—these are your responsibility and cannot be refunded by us. All international orders are subject to the customs procedures of the destination country, which may impact delivery times.
Many parcels will fall below the country’s low-value threshold, so import duties might not be necessary. If duties are required, the local postal or customs authority will likely contact the receiver to arrange payment, which can typically be done online, in-person upon collection, or at the time of delivery.
TRACKING YOUR ORDER
Within four business days of placing your order, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number that can be used to check your parcel’s progress. To track your parcel and get an estimated delivery time, just follow the link in the tracking email.
Alternatively, once you receive your tracking number you can enter it on the Australia Post tracking website.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS
You will need to sign for your order when it arrives. If you are not available to sign for your order, Australia Post will leave a note with instructions for pick up from a designated post office.
While we do everything we can to ensure your order is delivered in a timely manner, we will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by any person as a result of delay caused by our carrier that we have no control over or by any event which is out of our reasonable control or foresight including but not limited to any delay caused by an incorrect delivery address being provided to us.
If any items in your order are out of stock at the time your order is packed, we will notify you via email and you have the option to receive a refund or be added to our waitlist for those items.
All orders are generally sent within 1 to 4 business days once payment has been received, or, in the case of a pre-order, when the product becomes available, however please allow up to 10 business days once payment has been received for us to send your order. If we are unable to deliver your order to you within 30 days of the date of your Order Confirmation, you will have the option to cancel the order and are entitled to receive a full refund. Shipping may occur after 5 days if a later shipping date is specified.
SHIPPING INSURANCE
We have added an opt-out Insurance cover in Check-Out to cover your valuable and fragile purchase for loss/theft/damage by the transport carrier (eg. typically Australia Post in Australia). The fee is a nominal $2.93 starting fee for most purchases and is calculated based on value of cart.
When accepted and purchase is complete you will receive a separate email with your policy from Ship-Safely. In this email is a link should you need to make a claim for lost or stolen goods or damage if you believe was damaged in transit (eg. left in sun, rain, bent etc). Once you make a claim Ship-Safely will contact The Vinyl Store and we will either re-issue your order or if item(s) are out of stock we will refund the item(s) or full order.
This also covers major international transport carriers for International purchases and is highly encouraged to use when purchasing from outside of Australia.
