Description

Originally released in 1984, Brewing Up With Billy Bragg is the acclaimed second album from the influential British singer-songwriter. Building upon the stark guitar-and-voice approach of his debut, Bragg introduces subtle backing vocals, organ and trumpet while preserving the directness of his politically charged and deeply personal songwriting.

Highlights include “It Says Here,” “Love Gets Dangerous,” “The Saturday Boy” and “A Lover Sings,” with musical contributions from Kenny Craddock on organ and Dave Woodhead on trumpet. The album reached No. 16 on the UK Albums Chart and was named the sixth-best album of 1984 by NME.

This long-awaited reissue has been remastered by John Webber at AIR Studios using high-resolution transfers from master tapes held in Billy Bragg’s archive. It is pressed on dark green vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve.
