Originally released in 2004, They’re Only Chasing Safety marked a defining moment for Underoath and became one of the most influential post-hardcore albums of its era.
Produced by James Paul Wisner, the album combines melodic hooks, emotional intensity and explosive contrasts between Spencer Chamberlain’s screamed vocals and Aaron Gillespie’s clean singing. Featuring fan favourites including “Reinventing Your Exit,” “A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White” and “It’s Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door,” it helped shape the sound of mid-2000s heavy music.
Celebrating the album’s 20th anniversary, this special edition is pressed on mint and white blend vinyl and presented in a silver-foil sleeve.
